Aldubáran’s annual Autumn concert 2009

Aldubáran’s annual Autumn concert took place on Saturday 26th September 2009 in the Art Hall in Tórshavn Shipyard.
The concert was very well attended.
The programme included works by Kristian Blak (The Queen of Bøhmerland for solo violin), Paolo Pessini (Tre Charivari per flauto e fagotto), Pierre Max Dubois (Petite Suite pour flute et basson), Kári Bæk (Pictures for solo guitar) and Páll Sólstein (Hope for trumpet and French horn).
Two of the above pieces were premiered at this concert –Pictures by Kári Bæk and Hope by Páll Sólstein.
The performers were Andrea Heindriksdóttir, flute, Christina Andersen, bassoon, Sámal Petersen, violin, Ólavur Olse, trumpet, Páll Sólstein, French horn and Ólavur Jakobsen, guitar.

The association was founded on the 14th of November 1987.The purposes of the association are to nurture the interests of Faroese composers, to protect their rights and to actively seek to improve the composers' artistic and financial circumstances.
