Andras Olsen studied trombone in Aarhus, London and Copenhagen. He has a great interest in contemporary music and has worked with some of the leading ensemblems in Denmark and Europe. Ensembles such as Athelas Sinfonietta, Ensemble 2000, Klangforum Wien and Ensemble Modern are some of the ensembles he has work with. Andras has since 2003 been a member of Aldubáran, the only Faroese classical ensemble. The inspiration to Andras’ music comes from his close colaboration with ensembles and musicians. He likes to experience with possibilities of the instrument and the musicians, which sometimes leads to ”acting”.
